ED RN Job in Rochester, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the pediatric Emergency Room at URMC Golisano Children's Hospital, providing direct patient care to children under age 19 presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions.

Role and Responsibilities

• Deliver family-centered care in a fast-paced pediatric emergency department environment
• Manage cases ranging from treat-and-release to acute critical care and trauma
• Provide nursing care across 18 general care beds, 1 critical care bed, 4 urgent care beds, and a shared 7-bed trauma bay
• Function as charge nurse as needed per unit staffing requirements
• Work rotating day, evening, and night shifts, including weekends, holidays, on-call, and callback responsibilities
• Handle complex patient presentations in a tertiary care setting

Requirements

• Current New York RN license
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric emergency department experience
• BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association only)
• Burn care experience is highly desirable
• TNCC, ATCN, and ABLS certifications are preferred
