Med-Surg RN Job in Espanola, NM

You'll work as a Med-Surg RN at Presbyterian Espanola Hospital in Espanola, New Mexico. This is a 0.9 FTE position with 36 guaranteed hours per week on 3x12 night shifts, running from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The assignment is 89 weeks, starting April 27, 2026, and you'll earn $1,968.28 weekly.

In this role, you'll provide direct patient care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses. You'll administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians or standard protocols, and coordinate care through collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. You may float between departments and local locations within 20 miles and will provide clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.

You're expected to be a team player who's flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Weekends and on-call/callback responsibilities are part of this position.

Qualifications:

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Current New Mexico or Compact State nursing license required
• BLS certification required through American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• At least two years current experience in Med-Surg specialty required
• At least one 13-week previous travel assignment required
• English proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing required
• EPIC experience preferred; training available on-site

Complete patient population/age-specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing as needed.
