Med Surg RN Job in Charleston, WV

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on a 29-bed medical-surgical unit at CAMC Memorial Hospital in Charleston, WV. This is a 3x12 night position (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with 36 or 48-hour contract options; 36 hours per week are guaranteed. The role runs for 91 days, starting June 25, 2026, and pays $1,944 weekly.

Your Patients & Unit

• Care for adult medical and surgical patients, including those with cancer and receiving palliative care
• Also support urology and telemetry patients
• Night shift patient ratios are 5–6:1
• Float to like units within scope as needed

Required Skills & Certifications

• BLS certification required
• ONCC/ONS (chemotherapy certification) required
• Telemetry monitoring, central line draws, port care, blood administration, and PCA pump management
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• WV or Compact RN license required

Preferred Skills

• Bone marrow aspiration assistance
• Pleurx chest tube management
• Chemotherapy administration
• The facility will consider strong candidates without oncology experience

Schedule & Expectations

• Every other weekend required, with weekday shifts
• Holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of 3 major holidays
• Royal blue and white scrubs required
• Flu vaccination required unless medical exemption provided
