Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts from 6:30 PM to 6:30 AM<br>• Care for critically ill trauma patients in an 18-bed Trauma ICU unit<br>• Nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:1 to 1:2 for ICU patients, 1:4 for PCU patients<br>• Required to work 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period<br>• Float to all inpatient units excluding Maternity/NICU<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS<br>• Must pass open book skills exam on Friday during orientation with 90% score<br>• 2 shifts of unit-specific orientation provided<br>• Self-scheduling managed by unit manager based on needs<br>• Dress code requires navy blue scrubs<br>• Artificial nails are prohibited - refusal to remove leads to contract termination<br>• Care for adults and pediatric patients over 15 years old with trauma injuries, sepsis, stroke, ARDS, MODS, COPD, and cardiac arrest<br>• Titrate vasopressors, paralytics, narcotics, sedation, and antiarrhythmic drips<br>• Work with advanced equipment including CVPs, IABP, Impella, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, EV-1000, ICP monitoring<br>• Use EPIC charting system<br>• Read and interpret cardiac rhythms using Draeger heart monitoring system<br>• Must live more than 50 miles from facility and cannot be employed with CommonSpirit facilities<br>• First-time travelers not accepted<br>• Valid driver's license required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare facility operates as the only Level 1 trauma center for the health system, providing critical care services for the most severely injured patients in the region.
