Job Details:

• Evening shift: Monday through Thursday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM
• 32 hours guaranteed per week
• 10-week contract
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday work required
• No weekend requirements
• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative
• Verify proper clinician orders and obtain complete clinical history prior to procedures
• Ensure proper patient identification using two unique identifiers before performing any procedure
• Review ultrasound images for clinically acceptable results and release patients accordingly
• Send all studies to PACS immediately after completion and complete all studies in RIS before PACS
• Operate all workstations associated with the ultrasound department
• Maintain quality control logs for probe disinfection and follow infection control policies
• Transport, position, and assist patients on and off procedure tables
• Respond to emergency situations and assist with maintenance of life support equipment
• Maintain Joint Commission standards and all applicable regulatory agency standards
• Must be flexible with work hours to meet department needs
• Minimum 1 year of clinical sonography experience preferred
• Successful completion of a Sonography Training Program required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), and ARDMS or ARRT-S Sonography certification
• High School Diploma or GED required; Trade School Diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred
