RN - ICU Adult

Job Details:

• Provide critical care nursing for patients with heart attacks, strokes, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress, and other severe medical conditions
• Assess patient conditions and plan/implement comprehensive patient care plans
• Treat wounds and provide advanced life support interventions
• Assist physicians during medical procedures
• Monitor and record patient vital signs continuously
• Operate and adjust medical equipment including ventilators, monitors, and IABP devices
• Administer intravenous fluids and medications as prescribed
• Perform suctioning procedures as needed
• Collaborate with critical care team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Respond to life-saving emergencies using established nursing protocols
• Serve as patient advocate and provide family education and support
• Care for pre- and post-operative patients as assigned
• Must have 3 years recent RN ICU experience in Acute Care or LTAC facility
• Experience required with ventilators, tracheostomies, wound care, and central lines
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS through American Heart Association
• Texas RN or multi-state RN license required
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Must be available to float to lower acuity units based on facility census
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer acceptance
