Operating Room RN Job in Round Rock, TX

You will work a 13-week backfill contract position as an RN in the Operating Room at Round Rock Medical Center. Your schedule runs Tuesday through Friday, 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM, with the flexibility to accommodate 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts based on departmental need. Call requirements and occasional weekend work may be requested.

You will manage a 1:1 patient ratio and work across multiple surgical specialties and case types. Your experience should include a minimum of one year of general OR knowledge, with demonstrated competency in general surgery, orthopedic, and neuro surgery. If you are a CVOR candidate, you must have at least two years of CVOR experience, including all adult open heart cases and open and endovascular procedures. You will be willing to work with the catheter lab on TAVR procedures.

Preferred experience includes trauma and vascular surgery. You will work with advanced OR equipment including microscopes, the Robot DaVinci Xi, Mako Robot, laparoscopic Stryker tower, Stealth navigation, and endovascular hybrid room equipment. Typical procedures you may encounter include X-lif, A-lif, decompression, ACDF, craniotomy, robotic surgery, orthopedic trauma, total joint replacements, general surgery, CABG, valve surgeries, and vascular cases.

You will use the Meditech EMR system and must be flexible working in different types of rooms with varied cases. Light blue scrubs are provided. Willingness to occasionally assist in training new graduates is preferred.
