Radiation Therapist Job in Altoona, PA

You will provide radiation therapy treatments to patients as prescribed by physicians at UPMC Altoona. This is an 8-hour shift position with a 90-day contract duration, starting April 6, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation therapy treatments according to physician orders and treatment plans
• Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively, maintaining proper calibration and function
• Monitor patients during treatment sessions and document patient responses accurately
• Maintain precise treatment records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
• Follow established safety protocols and radiation protection procedures to ensure patient and staff safety
• Collaborate with oncology team members, including radiation oncologists and medical physicists, to ensure optimal patient care
• Provide patient education and emotional support throughout the treatment process

You will be part of the oncology team at UPMC Altoona, a comprehensive cancer care facility. Your role is essential in delivering critical treatment to cancer patients while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Compensation:

This position offers weekly pay of $3,024.

Position Requirements:

You must hold a degree in Allied Health as a Radiation Therapist. Current licensure and credentials in radiation therapy are expected.
