Pediatric CVICU RN Job in Omaha, NE

Opportunity:

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of experience required, including cardiac ICU and pediatric experience
• Patient ratio of 1:2 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required with 3 out of 6 weekends per contract
• Float requirements include PICU, NICU, and Med/Surg units
• No on-call required
• 36 orientation hours
• Care for patients ages neonates, infants, and pediatrics
• Patient diagnoses include post-op open hearts, single ventricles, complex cardiac anatomy/physiology, heart transplant, and heart failure
• Perform invasive cardiac monitoring including CVP, ART, RA, and other hemodynamic monitoring
• ECMO and CRRT exposure or experience required
• Administer vasopressors, cardiac drips, and sedation drips
• Skills required include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, tracheostomy care, management of chest tubes, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation, PICC line management, and pediatric dosage calculations
• Equipment used includes BD and Sigma IV pumps, Philips Monitors, telemetry, Servo ventilators (ETT and T/V), and POC testing including EPOC for blood gases
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, phlebotomy, and social services
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, CCRN
