Pediatrics RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an RN for a pediatrics float pool position in Oklahoma City. This 89-day travel assignment begins July 27, 2026, and offers 16-hour night shifts at $2,530.80 per week.

Role Overview

You will work as a float pool nurse across multiple pediatric units, including a 34-bed PICU, 25-bed CICU, and 112-bed NICU. You must be flexible and capable of floating to acute care units including surgical, behavioral health, medical specialty (GI, neuro, respiratory), hematology-oncology, step-down, and cardiac pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and document their responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at discharge
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Level 1 Trauma experience
• Experience with tracheostomy and high-flow oxygen delivery
• Familiarity with infusion and capability to serve as first line for clinical skills
• Ability to float across all children's units
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays

NICU Assignment Note

When floated to the NICU, you will care for feeder growers and low-acuity patients only, not traditional NICU cases.
