Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Clock in no sooner than 6:53 PM for night shifts
• Every-other-weekend requirement (Friday/Saturday/Sunday for night shifts)
• Average patient ratio of 1:6 on a 21-bed unit (usually staffed for 18 beds)
• EPIC experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac strips
• Experience with set-rate Cardizem and Amiodarone required
• Experience with TR Bands highly preferred
• Care for pre/post cardiac catheterization patients, chest pain rule-outs on heparin drips, COPD, CHF, pacers, arrhythmias, and general medical-surgical diagnoses
• Handle up to 6 discharges and 6+ admissions per day in fast-paced environment
• May be required to float to other units including ICU and Step-down based on facility needs
• Royal blue scrubs required - scrub jackets allowed but no hoodies or sweat jackets
• Two-day orientation: one day computer training, one day floor shadowing with preceptor
• All time-off requests must be submitted upfront in contract
• Unexpired driver's license copy required for submission
