ICU RN Job in Alexander City, AL

Russell Medical Center in Alexander City, Alabama is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM over a 13-week contract assignment beginning July 13, 2026.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment. This position requires hands-on experience with ventilator management, intravenous drip management, and post-cardiac catheterization care. You will also manage patients on intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support. The facility uses Meditech Expanse for electronic medical records.

Your Background

• Current RN license (Alabama state or compact license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1–2 years of ICU nursing experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated competency in ventilator management and drip management
• Demonstrated competency in IABP and post-cardiac catheterization protocols
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred

Compensation & Assignment Details

You will earn $2,229.12 per week. The assignment is 91 days in duration on a night shift schedule. This is a direct placement opportunity with Russell Medical Center, a full-service medical facility in east-central Alabama.
