About this role

You'll work as an Anesthesia Technician at St Lukes Boise Medical Center, supporting a large perioperative complex with 38 operating rooms including 17 Main OR, 4 CVOR, 3 CCL, 3 L&D, 2 Endo, and EP lab suites, plus imaging areas (MRI, CT, ultrasound, X-Ray, Nuclear Medicine).

Your Responsibilities

  • Clean and maintain anesthesia machines, set up circuits, and perform pre-use machine checks
  • Manage inventory for anesthesia machines, Omnicells, and supply cabinets; restock supplies and transport items as needed
  • Set up for arterial lines and assist CRNAs (you will not start IVs)
  • Respond to codes including OB Stat, Anesthesia Stat, Trauma, and Stroke Alerts
  • Work with GE anesthesia machines and Mindray equipment
  • Potential departmental floating; very rare floating to Meridian and Nampa ORs

Shift and Schedule

You'll work 5x8 evening shifts (day/evening hours up to 10:30 PM) with variable days off. Weekend work includes Sundays with a set schedule. Holiday work is required unless you have approved RTO in advance. Optional call is available with a 30-minute response time. Cancellation policy allows 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Requirements

  • Current BLS certification
  • Certified Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) via ASATT or Certified Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.) via ASATT
  • Minimum 1 year of experience (first-time travelers welcome)
  • Pediatrics experience preferred
  • Prior experience with GE anesthesia machines, Mindray, CCL, EP, and OB preferred

What's Provided

Scrubs and locker are provided. You may wear your own caps and must bring your own OR shoes. A 3-shift departmental orientation will prepare you for the role.

This is a 91-day travel assignment starting May 26, 2026. You'll join a facility known for high-volume perioperative support across multiple surgical specialties and imaging departments.
