Med Surg RN Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract on the Medical-Surgical unit. You will work 12-hour night shifts on a 3x12 schedule with an ASAP start date of July 6, 2026.

Position Details

• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly; overtime available after 80 hours worked in the second week
• Hours not guaranteed during orientation week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• May be placed on call due to low census with a 2-hour call back minimum
• Float to the emergency department within your competency as needed

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as CHF, COPD, and diabetes
• Work in a 25-bed Med/Surg unit with patient ratios of 1:4 to 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current Michigan RN license and AHA BLS certification required
• ACLS preferred but not required
• Emergency department experience preferred but not required
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR, CareScape patient monitors, and Pyxis required
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,377.08. Any colored scrubs are acceptable.
