Job Details:

• Monday through Thursday night shifts from 6:45 PM to 5:15 AM
• Every Saturday and Sunday, third shift will be variable
• On-call required; will work weekends based on unit needs
• Call requirements vary but roughly 1-2 weekends (Friday after work through Monday morning) and 2-4 weekdays in a 3-month timeframe
• Guaranteed up to 36 hours; all OR nurses on 12-hour shifts are scheduled an additional 4 hours to help cover breaks and lunches, resulting in a guaranteed 40 hours per week
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Robotic experience is required
• Some trauma experience is required
• Must be proficient with code response, fire safety, malignant hypothermia, electrosurgical equipment, arthroscopes, and laparoscopes
• Will float within scope to meet facility needs
• Handles 30-40 cases daily across 11 rooms with 1,200-1,500 cases per month
• Nurses and techs clean and turn rooms with a 20-minute target
• Surgical specialties include ENT, general, GYN, neuro, ophthalmology, ortho/total joints, plastics, podiatry, and heavy ortho on weekends
• Low volume pediatrics approximately one day per week plus trauma as needed
• Patients served across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Charting system: Cerner (EPIC preferred)
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, BLS
• Navy scrubs required; OR scrubs provided by facility
