SLP - SLP Outpatient

Job Details:

• Thursday through Monday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or Sunday through Thursday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Work a mix between inpatient/acute rehab unit and outpatient settings
• Primary focus on outpatient pediatric coverage with adult acute rehab evaluations and treatment as needed on weekend days
• Occasional home health duties required
• Float required to inpatient and acute rehab unit
• Approximately 6 patient visits per day
• Patient ratio of 5 on days
• Treat patients across all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Provide assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
• Perform bedside swallow evaluations, dysphagia management, and oral motor therapy
• Conduct evaluations and treatment for conditions including CVA, TBI, dysarthria, language disorders, fluency, and voice disorders
• Apply specialized protocols including Frazier Free Water Protocol and International Dysphagia Diet standards
• Provide patient and family education and assist with plan of care development
• Assist with clinical supervision of assistants and aides and serve as clinical instructor for assigned students
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations to ensure patient privacy and safety
• Minimum 2 years of recent relevant experience required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), CCC-SLP
• California Speech Pathologist license required
