Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health – Shawn Jenkins Children's Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment in Charleston, SC. You'll work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with an every-other-weekend rotation and holiday coverage required. No on-call responsibilities.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patients in a critical care environment
• Perform bronchoscopy, extubation, and other respiratory interventions within scope of practice
• Work in the NICU and pediatric critical care settings
• May float within scope depending on your experience; no floating to sister facilities
• Use Epic electronic health record system for charting

Required Qualifications

• Current RRT certification
• Valid South Carolina RCP (Respiratory Care Provider) license in hand at time of start
• BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Documented pediatric, neonatal, and infant care experience
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Epic experience and NBRC certification are preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $2,255.04
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 15, 2026
• Orientation: 72 hours provided
• Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off one shift per two-week period
• Parking: $20 one-time payment for nights and weekends pass
