<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - ED ER</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in a 25-bed emergency department with 25 procedure rooms, 8 hallway beds, and 4-bed psychiatric annex<br>• Patient ratios of 4:1 with flexibility during acute surge situations<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC<br>• Minimum 2 years emergency department experience in hospital setting required<br>• Must have active nursing license at time of submission<br>• Work every other weekend schedule<br>• Use Sunrise/Allscripts EMR system<br>• Work with equipment including U/S IV skills, Lucas Device, Hotline Rapid Infuser, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis<br>• Dress code requires scrubs with no hooded shirts or sweatshirts for safety reasons<br>• Work with policy-written protocols based on chief complaint<br>• Able to order complete workup including labs, EKGs, x-rays, and medications based on protocols<br>• Care for patients with multiple comorbidities, complicated heart conditions, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke<br>• Perform typical procedures including trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, IV insertion, IO insertion, eye exams, EKGs, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care<br>• No floating required<br>• Must demonstrate adaptability, strong communication skills, assessment skills, dependability, punctuality, and critical thinking skills</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a comprehensive emergency department featuring advanced cardiac services through their New England Heart Institute.
