Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• Inpatient oncology setting with an average daily census of 25 patients across 8 rooms
• Staffing ratio of 1:5 for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Administer IV chemotherapy including bladder installations
• Perform implanted port care, foley catheter insertions, peripheral IV insertions, and PICC line care
• Administer SQ/IM injections and blood products
• Operate Alaris infusion pumps, CADD infusion pumps, and lab centrifuge equipment
• Document using Epic Beacon electronic health record system - Epic experience required
• Utilize Pyxis medication system
• Care for patients with diagnoses including breast, bowel, bladder, brain, lung, gynecological, head and neck, prostate, pancreatic cancers, lymphomas, multiple myelomas, and chronic leukemias, as well as chronic anemia, MDS, MS, ulcerative colitis/Crohn's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis
• Interdisciplinary support available including pharmacy, social services, transportation, and unit secretary
• Provider coverage includes a Medical Oncologist available daily by phone and in-house two days per week, with an NP available in-house one to two days per week
• Minimum 1 year of acute oncology experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Wear navy blue scrubs
