Medical Lab Technician

Opportunity:

Med Tech (Medical Tech) - MLT

Job Details:

• Work graveyard shift from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM with variable nights
• Weekend and holiday requirements included in schedule
• Possible on-call or standby call responsibilities
• Block scheduling in 6-week increments - self-scheduling is not permitted
• Acute care setting
• Generalist med tech position covering all areas of the lab including hematology/serology, chemistry/coag, microbiology, and blood bank
• Must be proficient working independently on graveyard shift
• Phlebotomy is not required for this position
• Position is not patient-facing; no BLS required
• LIS system: Epic; additional systems include Wellsky for blood banking, Unity Real Time for QC, and Data Innovations as middleware
• No dress code - scrubs or business casual with closed-toe shoes required
• Department-specific orientation required; must be in state for week of orientation even if first day modules are remote
• Must reside within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted
• Required certifications: Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP or AMT, or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP or AMT
