Special Procedures Technologist in New Bern, NC

CarolinaEast Medical Center is seeking an Allied Health Professional Special Procedures Technologist for Interventional Radiology and Cardiology. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting November 16, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 5x8 day shift (40 hours per week)
• Weekly pay: $3,232
• On-call rotation required, split among 3 technologists:
  • Weekend call week: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  • Following week: Thursday only
  • Prior week: Monday and Wednesday
• After-hours and weekend call coverage required

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology experience
• Prior travel assignment experience (first-time travelers not accepted)
• Community hospital experience
• Current ARRT R certification
• Current BLS certification
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Clinical Focus

You will work with adult and geriatric patients, performing and assisting with interventional procedures including angiography, angioplasty, embolization, endovascular interventions, EVAR, TIPS, PICC line placement and maintenance, central venous access, nephrostomy, gastrostomy tube placement, IVC filter placement and removal, radiofrequency ablation, thrombolysis, thrombectomy, TEVAR, vertebroplasty, and ultrasound. You will maintain sterile technique, manage PACS systems, and may be asked to float within the hospital as clinical needs require.

Position Details

This role is based at CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern, North Carolina. You will collaborate with physicians and nursing staff in a busy interventional setting that includes trauma services.
