ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts with both day and night options available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Night shift position with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• First to float when needed
• Flex time required in lieu of on-call or standby
• Float to ED holds if needed and may also work charge nurse responsibilities
• ED/MedSurg Swing unit with 22 beds
• Patient ratios: 1:4 acute, 1:6 swing bed, 1:4 in the ED
• One year of MedSurg experience required
• Must be able to titrate drips including standard titratable and set rate drips
• Telemetry experience required with RN responsible for reading strips
• Experience with respiratory equipment including nebulizers, oxygen (nasal and mask), ventilators (ED and transport use only), and CPAP
• Charting system: EPIC
• Any scrub color acceptable
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
