Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans. This is a 84-day travel assignment beginning May 11, 2026.

Position Details:

• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Shift: 3x12 Nights with every other weekend coverage required
• Weekly Pay: $1,917
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Requirements:

• Current RRT credential with state license (Louisiana or compact license required at time of application)
• Minimum 2 years experience in respiratory therapy specialty; new graduates not accepted
• First-time travelers accepted if you have respiratory therapy experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Must reside more than 65 miles from facility; local travelers not accepted
• Two manager or supervisor references required for clearance to begin

Position Expectations:

• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Orientation conducted five days per week with billable modules
• Strict attendance policy; call-ins not permitted
• May be assigned to Emergency Team with expectation to remain on-site during emergency events
• If you previously worked at this facility as permanent staff, you must be separated for one full year before returning as a travel therapist
