Telemetry RN Job in Springfield, MO

You'll work as a Telemetry RN on a 32-bed cardiac and medical-surgical unit at Mercy Hospital Springfield. This is a 13-week night shift assignment where you'll provide direct patient care to post-trauma, post-surgical, and medically complex patients.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 shifts of 12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 hours (specify on submission)
• $2,102.40 per week
• Weekend hours as required by facility
• No call requirements

Your Role

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process for cardiac and post-surgical patients
• Float on a rotational basis
• Manage patient ratios of 1:6–1:8 on nights (estimated)
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration
• Work with Alaris pumps, telemetry monitoring, and lift equipment
• Document in EPIC electronic medical record

Requirements

• Current RN license in Missouri or eligibility for Missouri licensure
• Minimum 1 year inpatient cardiac telemetry experience
• BLS certification from AHA (required)
• 4 trauma credits (required; may complete within first two weeks)
• NIHSS certification (must obtain prior to start date)
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1–April 1

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS certification from AHA

Additional Details

• Night shift orientation occurs during day shift hours; you must be available the entire orientation week
• Black scrubs required
• You must be determined, decisive, and flexible in a fast-paced environment
