Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• No on-call requirements
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Work assignments paired with step-down and/or floor assignments
• Responsible for an average of 8 ventilated patients per shift in unit assignments
• Floor assignments consist of 3-4 floors
• Average of 2-3 intrahospital transports (CT, MRI, Specials) per shift
• Perform direct patient care and provision of Respiratory Care procedures throughout the facility
• Respond to Code Blue and Rapid Response alerts in a timely manner
• Exercise sound clinical judgment and assessment skills to provide appropriate patient care, monitoring, and communication to other caregivers
• Evaluate patient care and make recommendations when needed
• Document and maintain records, charts, and reports in a timely manner
• Equipment used includes: Servo i ventilator, V60 BiPAP, and iStat for ABG analysis
• Required certifications: RRT, BLS, ACLS
