Job Details:

• Work 4 10-hour shifts per week with variable days and start times Monday through Friday
• Start times vary between 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, and 11:00 AM with consistent start times kept within the same week
• Tuesdays and Fridays have later start times for in-services and team meetings
• No self-scheduling; schedule is managed by unit manager
• 7 call shifts (weekday and weekend combined) per 4-week schedule
• Weekday call begins at end of shift until 7:00 AM the following morning
• Weekend call is 24 hours (7:00 AM to 7:00 AM) and rotated between staff and travelers
• Call response time is 30 minutes; call room is available on site
• No holiday call requirements
• No floating requirements
• Circulate in a 22-suite CVOR with capability to expand to 26 suites across 3 separate floors
• Average 50-65 cases per day including 2-5 cardiac cases daily
• Common cardiac cases include CABG, MVR, AVR, Commando procedure, MAZE, and other complex valve repairs
• Must be able to float and circulate in at least 2 additional specialties when light on cardiac, including GYN, Urology, Vascular, Plastics, Orthopedics, Neuro, Cardiovascular, Thoracic, General, Sports Medicine, Transplant, or ENT
• DaVinci Xi robotic surgery experience required (GYN, Urology, General)
• ENT experience required including FESS, septoplasty, cochlear implant, tympanoplasty, and laryngoscopy
• Scrubbing skills preferred for RN candidates
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Candidates with less than 2 years of experience considered if they have experience at a similarly sized or larger facility with 20 or more suites and 50-55 or more cases per day
• Charting system: Cerner; EMR: EPIC
• Teal scrubs provided; must follow AORN standards for dress code
• Required certifications: BLS, Washington State or Compact nursing license
• BSN not required
