Med Surg RN Job in Alexandria, LA

You will work as an RN on a Medical/Surgical unit at CHRISTUS St Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. This is a temporary position with the possibility of converting to permanent employment.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Every other weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 5:1 or 6:1
• Duration: 91 days
• Start date: May 11, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,286.36

Your Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana or compact state
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• One year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing preferred

Dress code requires ceil blue scrubs. You will be part of a team with 5 total RN positions available on this unit.
