Radiation Therapist Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – John Stoddard Cancer Center is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 112-day travel assignment in Des Moines, IA. This is a day shift position working 4x10 hours with no on-call or weekend requirements. Weekly pay is $2,937.60.

About the Role

You will deliver radiation therapy treatments to approximately 80 patients per day using advanced equipment including TrueBeam, Halcyon, and TrueBeam Edge. Your treatment scope will include SRS, SRT, SBRT, VMAT, 3D, Electrons, and HyperArc techniques. You will work as part of a collaborative oncology team that includes 4 radiation oncologists, 3 physicists, and 5 dosimetrists.

Requirements

• Minimum 24 months of recent and current Radiation Therapy experience
• ARRT certification with T – Radiation Therapy discipline listed
• BLS certification (AHA)
• Valid driver's license
• EPIC EMR experience required
• ARIA/Eclipse experience highly preferred
• Iowa State Radiation Oncology license highly preferred; licensing candidates will be considered
• Professional reference from a charge, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, COO, or performance evaluation from within the last 24 months preferred
• Travel experience highly preferred

Black scrubs are required as part of the dress code. A skills checklist specific to the Radiation Therapy discipline must be completed. The assignment begins November 30, 2026.
