Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work 5x8 day shifts, Monday through Friday, with 40 guaranteed hours per week and generally no weekend requirements.

Your Responsibilities

• Perform general nuclear medicine studies including bone scans, renal studies, HIDA, gastric emptying, thyroid, lymphoscintigraphy, cardiac studies, and parathyroid scans
• Operate Symbia Evo SPECT, Symbia Intevo SPECT/CT, Capintec Thyroid probe, and Siemens Biograph Vision X PET/CT Scanner
• Manage patient care and imaging protocols with accuracy and attention to detail
• Chart using Epic and Merge PACS systems
• May float to other Aspirus facilities in Merrill, Antigo, Medford, or Stanley as needed

Requirements

• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ARRT(N) or CNMT certification
• Minimum 1–2 years of nuclear medicine experience
• Associate's degree or certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Proficiency with Epic and Merge PACS (training provided)
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of SPECT/CT and/or PET/CT procedures
• Experience with Siemens equipment

What to Expect

You may be placed on call for low census hours with a 2-hour call-back minimum. The contract includes 36 hours of unbillable low census hours. Scrubs should be clean and work-appropriate; color or print options are permitted.

Assignment starts June 22, 2026, and pays $3,124 per week.
