Description
<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - PICU</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 12-hour night shifts with 36 hours per week OR 4x12s for 48 hours per week<br>• 13-week assignment duration<br>• Must have minimum 1 year of pediatric CICU/CVPICU experience<br>• Must have at least 12 months of experience in a traveler setting - first-time travelers not accepted<br>• Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends<br>• May float to cardiac medical surgical floor to assist with patients<br>• Float required as needed between main facility and sister hospital in Overland Park, KS (approximately 12 miles southwest)<br>• Required certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS (only AHA certifications accepted - RQI not accepted)<br>• Must have both Missouri or compact license AND Kansas license<br>• Work with patient age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents<br>• Care for patients with congenital heart defects, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, and myo/endocarditis<br>• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment including art/cvp, PA lines, and umbilical lines<br>• Work with specialized equipment including CRRT, ECMO, and VADs<br>• Pass mandatory medication/dosage test in first week with 100% score required (3 attempts given)<br>• Scrub color: any kid-friendly color or pattern<br>• Charting systems: Cerner and Epic experience required<br>• Weekend coverage required<br>• Free parking with permit provided</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This renowned children's hospital has been named one of the best children's hospitals in America and operates as a Magnet-designated, teaching facility with Level I Trauma Center and Level IV NICU capabilities. The facility features 390 total staffed beds and includes a 24-bed CICU unit.
