Medical Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Medical Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at Northside Hospital Atlanta, a large-volume laboratory facility. You will work evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, performing critical laboratory testing in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Medical Technologist, you will perform complex hematology testing, including differential analysis and sample management in a high-volume setting. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing accurate manual and automated differentials
• Managing complex and turbid specimens with skill and precision
• Identifying and handling platelet clumps and abnormal cell findings
• Supporting neonatal unit testing with specialized expertise
• Operating Sysmex and CellaVision systems
• Working within Cerner laboratory information system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Medical Technologist experience in specialty
• Current certification: ASCP, AMT, or AAB
• Experience with Sysmex and CellaVision systems strongly preferred
• Prior experience in a large hospital laboratory (600+ beds)
• Proven ability to perform differentials accurately in high-volume environments
• Experience working with neonatal units
• Proficiency with Cerner

Assignment Details

• Location: Northside Hospital Atlanta, Atlanta, GA
• Duration: 13 weeks, starting July 6, 2026
• Shift: 8-hour evening shift, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
• Weekly pay: $1,860.04

Only candidates holding a Medical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist credential will be considered. Medical Lab Technicians are not eligible. Travel candidates only—local applicants within 50 miles will not be considered.
