MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 104-week travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. You will work 4 days per week on a rotating shift, earning $3,066 weekly. Start date is August 10, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Independently perform MRI imaging procedures using independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative for diagnostic purposes
• Practice and maintain MR safety standards within the department
• Maintain clinical competency for all exams and equipment
• Review, process, and archive imaging data according to protocol
• Present all relevant patient information to the physician based on protocol prior to exam start
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history, assess physician orders, and apply departmental protocols for optimal data acquisition, including labeling, preparation, and administration of contrast
• Document patient history in electronic records as required
• Communicate instructions to patients clearly and explain procedures to alleviate patient concerns
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry
• MR registry must be acquired within 18 months of the date the primary registry was acquired or date of hire
• Current ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 clearances required
• Act 73 clearance results must be completed and on file prior to start; pending results are not accepted
