PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - PCU

Job Details:

• Work in a 34-bed Progressive Care Unit with a 4:1 patient ratio
• 4 weekend shifts required in a 4-week period with holiday rotation
• Float within competency as needed
• Document using EPIC electronic health record system
• Wear Caribbean Blue Scrubs as required uniform
• Required certifications: Current RN License, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Telemetry interpretation skills required
• Manage cardiac, neuro, and Progressive Care Unit patients
• Manage vasoactive drips within PCU/IMC scope
• Manage chest tubes and high-flow oxygen therapy including BiPAP and CPAP
• Care for post-cardiac procedure patients and participate in rapid response
• Perform TEE/Cardioversions on unit
• Utilize continuous cardiac monitoring, high-flow nasal cannula, chest tubes, PCA pumps, and Alaris IV infusion pumps
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and maintain patient-centered care standards
• Charge nurse without assignment available when census allows
• Patient Care Technicians available on each shift
• Dedicated telemetry monitoring support provided
• Strong time management and teamwork skills required in a fast-paced environment
