About this role
OU Health is seeking an Allied Health Professional to work as an Adult Echo Technologist in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a 10-hour shift position with an 89-day duration, starting September 7, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,240.
Role Overview
You will provide specialized cardiovascular technology services to adult and pediatric patient populations. You will prepare patients for procedures, correlate clinical history with physician-ordered studies, and utilize highly specialized imaging equipment to perform diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures. Your responsibilities include conducting post-procedure reviews, transferring images and data to archival systems, and preparing studies for physician reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, high-level disinfecting, and user maintenance per manufacturer specifications
- Cover procedures in the operating room and cardiac catheterization lab
- May perform fetal echocardiograms as needed
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members
- Provide instruction and mentor less experienced team members
- Prepare and present in-service training pertinent to your assigned service area
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
Schedule and Requirements
This role requires 3 days of call per month (Friday/Saturday/one weeknight or 2 weeknights/Sunday). You may be scheduled at an outpatient clinic off-site from the main campus. You must be a graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular or radiologic specialty as defined by ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI.
