Ob/Gyn Sonographer Job in Shreveport, LA

You will work as an Ultrasound Technician in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department at Ochsner St. Mary-Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport, performing maternal fetal medicine ultrasounds in a high-volume clinic setting.

Role Overview

You will see 12–13 patients daily with a patient ratio of 1:5 during day shifts. As the sole ultrasound technician in this high-risk OB clinic, you will work independently performing obstetric ultrasounds across all three trimesters, including first, second, and third trimester studies. Your responsibilities include fetal anatomical surveys, evaluation of maternal structures, and specialized procedures such as amniocentesis and amniotic fluid index assessments. You will manage high-risk obstetric cases and maternal fetal medicine studies while using the Epic charting system.

Requirements

• Current Louisiana license or compact license
• ARDMS OB/GYN certification (required)
• BLS certification (preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of specialty experience in maternal fetal medicine ultrasound
• Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility

Additional Responsibilities

You may float to other areas as needed. You will treat both adolescent and adult patients. You may be assigned to the Emergency Team during emergency events or hurricanes.

Assignment Details

This is a 91-day travel assignment with a start date of June 22, 2026. You will work a 5×8 day shift schedule, earning $2,556 per week. This position is open only to travelers living more than 65 miles from the facility.
