Opportunity:

RN - Observation Unit

Job Details:

• 26-week contract, not negotiable
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours for 3x12 shifts or 40 hours for 8/10-hour shifts
• Position is in the Medical/Surgical Telemetry unit on 2 East Clinical Decision Unit
• Minimum 18 months of telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred
• PCU experience required
• Strong vasoactive drip experience required
• Skills required include: telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, cardiac drip management, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must have at time of submittal), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start)
• Charting system: EPIC; charting system experience required
• Will float to all 3 hospitals within 20 miles (Martin North, South, and Tradition)
• Block scheduling not available
• Local candidates accepted at same rate
• Pending licenses not accepted
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of application; any RTO added later will likely not be approved
• EKG and Pharm test required during orientation with a maximum of 2 attempts each
• Scrub color: White
• Parking is free in any unrestricted space
• Smoke-free facility; all travelers must be nicotine free with no exceptions
