Respiratory Therapist Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 20, 2026. You will work 16-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, with no on-call responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care across multiple units throughout the hospital, primarily serving adult patients with NICU experience required
• Operate advanced ventilation equipment including Drager, jet, and oscillator ventilators
• Work as scheduled, including 1–2 of 3 summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
• Document care using EPIC EMR system

Required Qualifications:

• 24 months of RRT/Respiratory experience in a hospital setting
• Completed travel assignment within the past 15 months (no first-time travelers)
• NICU experience within the last 18 months
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience within the last 15 months
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), PALS (AHA), NRP, and NBRC
• Iowa Respiratory license highly preferred; licensing candidates with 1–3 week turnaround time accepted
• Ability and willingness to float across different units

Additional Information:

• A 50-mile local radius rule applies with a 10% reduction to bill rate
• Wear any color scrub tops and bottoms in solids
• CRTs are not considered for this position
