Opportunity:

RN - Infusion Oncology Adult

Job Details:

• Outpatient infusion experience required
• Current chemotherapy certification with at least 1 year of chemotherapy experience required
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate from the Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) required
• Administer PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by physician
• Consult with medical personnel and provide expert information about chemotherapy and side effects
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physician during conscious sedation and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans, discharge information, and provide continued care via phone triage
• Provide chemotherapy-related educational information to patients and families
• Schedule patient follow-up activities related to treatment and assist with coordination of care
• Obtain referrals and complete follow-up phone calls with patients after clinic visits
• Delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate
