Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Peds

Job Details:

• Day/night rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekends required as needed
• No holiday requirement
• First to float to ED/ICU for 1:1 assignments as needed
• Self-scheduling available
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 on days, 1:5 on nights
• Care for adult and pediatric patients with diagnoses including UTI, altered mental status, pneumonia, and COPD
• Unit consists of 17 beds - 14 inpatient and 3 observation
• Administer set rate drips including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, and diuretics - titration of drips not required
• ICU monitors telemetry and reads strips; RNs are responsible for applying telemetry to patients
• Occasional BiPap managed primarily by respiratory therapy - no ventilators on unit
• Charge nurse present on each shift and takes patient assignments
• Nurse aide support: 2 on days, 1 on nights
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Scrub color: Navy blue
• One 12-hour orientation shift required, with the option for one night and one day orientation if needed
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: BLS, PALS
