Respiratory Therapist Job in Farmington, CT

UConn John Dempsey Hospital is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our clinical team in Farmington, CT. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 13, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on an every-other-weekend rotation. Call and holiday requirements are included, and mandatory overtime may be required to ensure unit coverage. You will float across multiple departments to support patient care needs.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to adult patients with respiratory, cardiac, and orthopedic conditions
• Work across ICU, Emergency Department, Medical/Surgical, Telemetry, and other designated units as needed
• Float to DOC (Doctor of Osteopathic Care) and PSYCH units when required
• Support NICU patients if applicable to your experience

Required Qualifications

• Active RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) certification through NBRC or equivalent certifying body
• BLS certification
• 1–2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• EPIC electronic health record experience required

Highly Desired

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Compensation & Assignment Details

Weekly pay: $2,679. Assignment length: 91 days. Start date: November 13, 2026.
