Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every-other-weekend requirement for Saturday/Sunday shifts
• Holiday rotation schedule with permanent staff
• 36-bed cardiac/telemetry progressive care unit (stepdown)
• Nurse-to-patient ratios: MedSurg/Tele acuity 1:5 (possibly 1:6), PCU acuity 1:4
• Care for cardiac patients, post-catheterization, AMI, post-operative lung surgeries, respiratory failure, chest tubes, pacemakers, post-PCI
• Must be able to titrate cardiac drips including Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Integrelin, Heparin, Ativan, Lasix, and Nitro up to 50 mcg
• Required to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors
• Team nursing approach with 1 RN and 1 CNA for 6-7 patients
• Float to any MedSurg/Tele units as needed
• Required certification: BLS (AHA)
• BSN not required
• EPIC charting system
• Royal blue scrubs required
• No false nails policy
• Must submit copy of unexpired driver's license
• 50-mile radius rule applies
• Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
