PICU RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

You will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at Oklahoma Children's Hospital OU Health. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day duration, starting April 13, 2026. You will earn $2,930.40 per week.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients with conditions ranging from straightforward to highly complex
• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and monitor their progress throughout your shift
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments with accuracy and clarity
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures as needed
• Obtain and monitor physiological data, observe patient manifestations, and intervene when necessary to maintain patient safety
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interact with families and patients regarding care plans during hospitalization and discharge planning
• Make referrals for patient care needs to appropriate personnel and departments
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed and provide direction as appropriate

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Current Oklahoma RN License or multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current BLS certification from American Heart Association
• PALS certification from American Heart Association
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills and ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Level 1 experience
