Sleep Tech - Polysomnographer

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Every 4th weekend rotation Friday through Sunday
• Care for adolescent and pediatric patient populations including infants and neonates
• Most assignments are 1:1 patient ratios; if 1 tech to 2 patients, patients must be 4 years or older with no medical or developmental complexities
• Inpatient sleep studies performed bedside on a 1:1 ratio
• Patients on PAP therapy are always 1:1
• Sleep studies are scored the next business day, no scoring on the fly
• RRT credentialed travelers may take trach patients and stable home ventilator patients with appropriate training
• Perform standard 10/20 EEG measurement for PSG (not full EEG)
• Required skills include: End-Tidal CO2 monitoring, Adult and Pediatric MSLT, ASV, BiPAP, CPAP, Cheyne-Stokes, Complex Sleep Apnea, Hypopnea, O2 Saturation, Oxygen administration, Pediatric MWT, Periodic Limb Movement, PSG, Respiratory Events, Respiratory Inductance Plethysmography, Sleep Stages, Transient Arousals, VPAP, and 10/20 Measurement
• Required respiratory care skills include: O2 Therapy and Suction
• Vent Management experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, RPSGT, RRT
