Pharmacy Technician Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for an 8-week contract position. You will work 5 days per week on day shift (8-hour shifts) with 40 guaranteed hours weekly. This role includes every third weekend and holiday rotation, with no on-call or callback requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform inpatient IV compounding in the oncology center IV room and clean room environment
• Prepare parenteral nutrition (TPN) and hazardous drug formulations
• Maintain sterile compounding protocols and documentation
• Operate Pyxis dispensing systems and compounding equipment
• Support oncology pharmacy operations as needed

Required Qualifications:

• PTCB certification or ChT credential
• Valid Wisconsin Pharmacy Technician license
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience
• Sterile compounding experience (required)
• Parenteral nutrition (TPN) compounding experience (required)
• Pyxis system experience (required)
• Associate Degree or Certificate in Pharmacy Technology
• Hazardous drug and chemotherapy experience highly preferred

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Abacus/Baxa compounding software and Repeater pump
• Simplifi/SoleSource software experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Media Fill Test Certification

You may be required to float to other Central Aspirus locations as needed. All scrub colors are acceptable. The contract begins October 5, 2026, and offers weekly pay of $1,444.
