Pharmacist Job in Medford, Wisconsin

Aspirus Medford Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist for a 13-week contract position in our central inpatient pharmacy. This role offers a stable schedule with no float requirements or on-call responsibilities, allowing you to focus on direct patient care and pharmacy operations.

Schedule and Hours

• Work 4 days per week on 8–10 hour day shifts
• Weekday hours: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Weekend hours: 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Guaranteed 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

• Verify Epic orders and review technician work in the inpatient pharmacy
• Respond to pharmacist phone calls and clinical inquiries
• Prepare inpatient and outpatient IV medications
• Dispense inpatient unit dose medications
• Support outpatient chemotherapy services
• Work across multiple units including Med/Surg, OB/GYN, ICU, outpatient oncology, and ED
• Support an inpatient census of 10–15 patients

Requirements

• Wisconsin Pharmacist License
• Doctorate of Pharmacy degree
• Minimum 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Epic charting experience highly preferred

• Contract eligible for up to 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• May be placed on call for low census hours with 2-hour minimum call back pay

You will comply with facility vaccination and mask policies during flu season. The inpatient pharmacy operates 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM on weekdays and 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM on weekends and holidays.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $3,550. Assignment begins May 18, 2026.
