NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts, days 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend requirement; Days - Saturday & Sunday, Nights - Friday & Saturday
• Rotate holidays in with permanent staff
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Level II NICU with 10 beds in a Special Care Nursery setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:1-3 depending on acuity
• Care for babies born with low birth weight, prematurity, and serious conditions including respiratory conditions, hemodynamic issues, bubble CPAP, tube feeds, feeders and growers, and substance abuse babies
• Must be competent in couplet care in postpartum and able to attend both high and low risk deliveries
• Must be experienced with stabilization and transitioning newborns
• Must have experience with Level II NICU, ventilators, bubble CPAP, and high flow equipment
• May be required to float to Mother Baby unit
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; will consider 1 year of experience with multiple prior travel assignments
• Scrubs are provided
• Charting system: EPIC
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), STABLE
