<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards<br>• Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting<br>• Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level of patients<br>• Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects<br>• Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plans<br>• Organize and prioritize care according to patient/family needs<br>• Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities<br>• Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families<br>• Collaborate with patient/family to prepare or update plans of care<br>• Identify and address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care<br>• At least 1 year of Med-Surg or higher acuity experience required<br>• One year of nursing experience required<br>• Nursing Diploma, ADN or ASN from an accredited school of Nursing required<br>• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina required<br>• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) required<br>• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing preferred</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare system operates as a comprehensive academic medical center providing advanced patient care, medical education, and research services.
