Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work 36/36 schedule with every other weekend requirement
• No call responsibilities
• Required to float to other units as needed
• 1:7 patient ratios for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
• Care for adult patients on Ortho/Spine/Med/Surg unit with 34-bed capacity
• Patient diagnoses include Ortho/Neuro/Trauma Post Op
• Must have 1 year of experience and Med/Surg Tele experience required
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must live 100+ miles from facility
• 24 hours of orientation (16 hours non-billable)
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Hospital may cancel one shift biweekly without penalty due to census changes
• Skills include: accessing/managing ports, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tubes, telemetry monitoring, wound care, and various other medical/surgical procedures
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• General orientation begins on Sundays with online CBLs
• Facility conducts interviews within 24-48 hours when offered
• Must complete drug test 12-14 calendar days prior to start date
• Facial hair must be trimmed/removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
