Special Procedures Technologist in Rochester, NY

You will work as an Interventional Radiology Technologist at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York. This is an 8-hour day shift position on a 5x8 schedule, with on-call responsibilities as needed by the unit.

Your responsibilities include:

• Perform interventional radiology procedures and assist radiologists during examinations
• Select exposure factors, position patients, and produce diagnostic-quality radiologic images
• Operate all radiology equipment competently and report malfunctions to your manager or lead
• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations
• Complete assigned procedures efficiently and assist with room turnover
• Maintain proficiency in Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
• Provide healthcare services to patients of all age groups
• Maintain medication security protocols
• Answer technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel
• Manage on-call schedule including 5–7 call shifts per 7-week block, with 2–4 weekend call days as needed

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology or general radiologic technology experience
• New York State Technician License (any currently accepted tech license)
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• VIR (Vascular and Interventional Radiology) certification preferred

This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026. You will earn $3,289 per week.
