ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work in the ICU with a patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Floating required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
• Charge experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Travel experience required; first time travelers may be considered
• Must be located more than 75 miles from the facility
• New York nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required skills include: arterial line management, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, emergency medications, infection prevention, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, management of dysrhythmias, medical intensive care unit, obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG, phlebotomy, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical intensive care unit, thermoregulation (hypothermia/hyperthermia), titrating cardiac drips, and titrating vasoactive drips
• Unit supports adult patient population
• 9-bed ICU unit with interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
