ICU Registered Nurse Job in Newark, NY

Rochester - Newark-Wayne Community Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its 9-bed ICU unit. You will work 4x12 night shifts on a unit that serves adult patients with a 2:1 patient ratio. Every other weekend coverage is required, and floating to other units is part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Manage continuous IV sedation and paralytics with neuromuscular blockade monitoring
• Administer emergency medications and manage dysrhythmias
• Monitor and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drips
• Perform phlebotomy, 12-lead EKG/ECG interpretation, and IV insulin protocols
• Maintain PICC lines and perform procedural sedation monitoring
• Implement infection prevention, isolation precautions, and thermoregulation protocols

Requirements:

• Current New York RN license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 2 years ICU experience
• Travel healthcare experience required; first-time travelers may be considered
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Epic charting experience (required)
• Charge nurse experience highly preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred

The ICU is supported by an interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. You will work in a collaborative environment focused on delivering quality care to critically ill adult patients.

Compensation & Duration: $2,681 weekly. 119-day assignment beginning October 5, 2026.
